We all know Irvins for their salted egg chips—the thinly sliced potato crisps, tossed in salted egg yolk, curry leaves, and vibrant red chili peppers. It has that #DangerouslyAddicting factor that makes it easy to eat one whole pack in one sitting. But if you want more of Irvins’ salted-egg anything in your life, they recently launched a Salted Egg Gyoza Skin, Salted Egg Salmon Skin, and Salted Egg Prawn Rolls in Singapore and we know of an online shop where you can order it.
A snack made out of gyoza skin is definitely something new! Irvins was able to make their new Salted Egg Gyoza Skin by deep-frying the wrapper of gyoza, a steamed dumpling one can usually find in Japanese restaurants, and used their salted egg recipe to give it that Irvins signature taste.
Branching out from the Salted Egg Fish Skin (one of the OGs), Irvins now has Salted Egg Salmon Skin, too! It’s a bag filled with salmon skin that’s fried to a crisp, covered in their salted egg coating. What’s not to love about that?
For those who have a thing for spicy food, Irvins Salted Egg Prawn Rolls will be right up your alley. The hae bee hiam (spicy shrimp) is coated in salted egg powder, too.
