There’s no exaggeration that the continuous price hikes have changed the way we feel about buying fresh produce; we either spend more if the budget allows or we buy less so we don’t go beyond our budget. And it’s even more disheartening to see news of farmers throwing away produce just because they couldn’t find buyers.
If you want to feel a little better after all that ensued over the past weeks and months, Bonifacio Global City is bringing back Souk BGC today, February 18, 2023. This weekend farmers’ market is where you can buy fresh produce directly from farmers, and all proceeds will go to the farmers from the Cordillera Administrative Region.

According to Bonifacio Global City’s Facebook page, there will be three items that you can buy from Souk BGC. These are the following:
- Red Onions for P180/kilogram
- Tomato P50/kilogram
- Salad Tomato P180/kilogram
So if you’re planning to cook the likes of bistek or sarsiadong manok, make sure to drop and B.Y.O.B. (bring your own bag) because you’ll need a lot of these ingredients!
Souk BGC is located at the De Jesus Oval in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig (near Las Flores). They are open from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. today, February 18, 2023.
